I recently got to speak to Teresa from Christopher Woods, to learn more about how Staff Shop has helped grow and sustain their business. Christopher Woods has been with us for several years now, and has grown along with us.

For over 25 years, they have celebrated many milestones with clients all across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). They can help you with a small, intimate party of as few as 10 people or a huge event with up to 10,000! Christopher Woods can take care of the catering, rentals, staffing, floral arrangements and more! They will work with your venue to ensure you have an amazing, seamless event.

 

 

Obviously, Staff Shop comes in when it comes to staffing these events. I sat down with Teresa Gelmo, Director of Sales and Marketing for Christopher Woods to discuss how our partnership has been mutually beneficial.

How many years have Staff Shop and Christopher Woods been working together? 

Happily, since summer 2021. 

 

How does Staff Shop’s staffing services help you and your clients?

Staff Shop have responsible, reliable, qualified and friendly staff that both Christopher Woods Catering & Events and our clients can depend on and expect. 

Staff Shop’s administrative and service staff are an extension of our core values, which are to provide stellar customer service that our clients are accustomed to and ultimately “make them look good.” 

 

Tell me about the hiring process through Staff Shop

The hiring process is exceptionally easy. 

We email our account manager the staffing request, as well as include the generic staffing email as a backup so there’s always someone quick to respond. 

Staff Shop is aware of the preferred staff we like to use on our jobs and we request for those staff specifically. If they are available, they have dibs on the job. If not, they extend to others that they have had good feedback with . 

We also share our feedback with Staff Shop from our clients as well.

Once the spaces are filled, Staff Shop will email us the staff list. 

They are very accommodating when we need to change out people or times. 

 

Would you recommend Staff Shop to other businesses, and why?           

100% yes.                                 

They are very easy to work with, the staff is qualified and they are dependable. They definitely make us look good so I can say with certainty, they will make those businesses look good too.
