About the Role

We are partnering with our client for a very exciting opportunity that you can be a part of! We are looking for experienced VIP Hostesses, servers, and bartenders to join us for the games season in Toronto. It is at a well-known sporting venue right in the heart of downtown for major league baseball.

You must have some relevant experience working in a VIP setting, should have great organizational and people skills. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional, outgoing, energetic, and must be able to charm people with a great first impression.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Demonstrate and speak to Company Mission, Vision and Values, demonstrating company culture to other employees and Clients. Act as an ambassador for Staff Shop, representing the company well at all times
  • Welcome all guests to the venue, check in names, guestlist, verify tickets, etc.
  • Respond to patrons by providing directions, seating, menu information, and event inquiries as needed
  • Escort customers to assigned seating or venue areas
  • Greet customers upon their departure
  • Coordinate with wait staff and provide assistance where needed
  • Cater to all guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Communicate with the Team Lead or Client regarding any special needs/requests
  • Perform cleaning duties before and after the service
  • Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, and remain stationary at times throughout work periods
  • Be able to focus on the job while standing and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs and carrying items weighing up to 25lbs and able to lift up to 50lbs with another person to assist
  • Be flexible for varying shifts/hours and overtime
  • Be punctual, reliable, and committed to each assignment
  • Must have a Valid Smart Serve

Required experience: At least 1 year of customer service/hospitality experience with some experience in a VIP setting.

Uniform Requirements: Black dress to the knee or slightly past, or back blouse/dress pants or Knee length skirt, comfortable shoes, and face mask.
