Executive Chef (Bible Camp)- $50,000-$60,000 /year

** This role will require you to either commute or relocate to Huntsville, ON. For relocations, a relocation package will be provided.

Our client, A Bible Camp, is looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join their team. You will be responsible for cooking high volume meals which can range from 30-40 meals for each service offering (breakfast, lunch and dinner). During the summer months, the Executive Chef will be cooking for 100-250 guests per meal for the whole season (plus 100 staff). The Executive Chef also oversees other food service outlets and must have experience managing Sous Chefs and Camp Cooks. Food ordering, inventory, labour cost and dining room presentation is something you will have ownership over.

• Works to ensure that guests are provided with outstanding dining experiences: hot, fresh, delicious and well-presented food combined with SWEET (Service With Excellence Every Time) guest service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality and appearance as per the Bible Camp’s Guest Food Service Standards including fresh baking, salad bar, soups, main buffet and staff meals

• Oversee all areas of ordering, preparation, cooking and serving

• Creative menu design and communication including nutritious meals

• Ensure the kitchen is operated in a safest possible manner; comply with requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy by being aware of responsibilities

Hours of Work

• 40-44 hours per week

• Physically demanding, heavy lifting involved, weekend work would be required

• Meal and program benefits as per our Staff Handbook

• Salary range of $50,000.00-60,000.00 depending on qualifications and experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years cooking experience

• Leadership – planning, oversight of staffing, etc.

• Proficient with various computer programs

• A servant attitude toward serving Bible Camp guests
