Staff Shop Inc. specializes in Temporary, Direct Hire, Payrolling & Consulting Hospitality & Event Staffing Services – for food services companies, caterers, venues, hotels, large annual events and private clients across North America, and the Caribbean. Our Front of House Staff, Back of House Staff, and Promotional Staff from junior to senior levels, provide the best staffing experience for our clients. We have an immediate opening for a Cleaner.

 

Start Date: (if possible) Monday, January 11, 2021 at 9:00am

Specific Shifts: (if possible) i.e. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Wage: $__/Hour __ Hours/week or Salary

Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrate and speak to Company Mission, Vision and Values, highlighting company culture to other employees and Clients
  • Act as an ambassador for Staff Shop, representing the company well at all times
  • Complete required documents, timesheets, and communications
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming facilities
  • Gather and empty all trash and depry
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • Clean/polish, dust, and wax furniture, fixtures, walls, machines, carpets, and equipment
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • Clean chimneys, flues, and connecting pipes, using hand tools
  • Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
  • Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, and remain stationary at times throughout work periods
  • Be able to focus on the job while standing and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs and carrying items weighing up to 25lbs and able to lift up to 50lbs with another person to assist
  • Be flexible for varying shifts/hours and overtime
  • Be punctual, reliable, and committed to each assignment

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Proven cleaning or hospitality experience
  • Able to stand, walk, bend and remain mobile for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation to various work locations as per assignment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Uniform expectations: black non-slip shoes, black dress pants, and a black t-shirt
