Responsibilities:

We are staffing for many different positions for multiple shows across Canada’s 300+ drive-in theatres for once in a lifetime megastar performances, with a taste of nostalgic music mixed with current artists. We have immediate openings for Event Managers for a three-month contract including 20+ show dates!

We are looking for energetic, self-motivated, customer service- oriented Event Managers with experience in fast-paced environments to manage broadcasted concerts at Drive-in movie theatres and maintain positive relationships with those theatre owners. Someone who enjoys interacting with people and wants the opportunity to help create the best experience possible for all attendees is an ideal candidate for this position. This role requires interaction and communication with clients, attendees, vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee site setup and event staff such as Brand Ambassadors, Ticket Scanners, Loss Prevention & Security, and potential Sponsorship Activations
  • Confidently lead communications with drive-in theatres owners and onsite operations teams through calls, in-person interaction and via email as directed
  • Execute on the overall creative vision for a concert tour and individual screenings
  • Support and report directly to the Regional Manager
  • Mentor both team members and event attendees for each concert
  • Provide quality control over concepts and projects – acting as the key decision-maker and problem solver on the ground along with the drive-in theatre owner
  • Responsible for making sure ticket scanning is operating quickly and efficiently
  • Assist with clean up at the end of the event
  • Ensure strict guidelines and recommendations are followed as it relates to COVID-19 precautions and safety protocols

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to produce accurate and high-quality events in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure/tight deadlines and to maintain a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing team members and overseeing necessary changes to improve efficiency
  • Strong planning/organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, as well as managing changes to improve efficiency
  • Outgoing personality and able to interact with a variety of customers
  • Ability to be on feet and walking for long periods of time

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in the event, hospitality or theatre industry
  • Excellent attendance record and punctuality
  • Organization and timely coordination via email, phone, text
  • A working cell phone with data ability to send emails and receive calls without wifi
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively
  • Reliable transportation to various work locations as per assignment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
